Martinez

• 2 oz sweet vermouth
• 1 oz Old Tom gin
• 1 bar-spoon Maraschino
• 1 dash Angostura bitters
• Lemon Slice
  

Shake and serve in a cocktail glass. Garish with lemon slice.

I got to try this with Old Tom gin in Japan. It was delicious. I think the martini might be a descendant, or at least a relative, of this drink.
